Stainless Steel 317L Plates, UNS S31703 Sheets

The addition of molybdenum and nitrogen to the SS 317L sheet suggests a more robust processing material may be required compared to the grade grade material. If the last temperature drop falls below this threshold, a solution of 1976 degrees F – 2156 degrees F (1080 degrees C – 1180 degrees C) is required, where immediate application is required.

 The cooling capacity of the 317L stainless steel sheet, supplied by Lakshya International, makes it less functional than stainless steel 410. It is a low carbon grade or “L” so that it provides stability and inspection during lighting and other lighting systems. 317L stainless steel plate (UNS S31703) is superior to austenitic molybdenum stainless steel with significantly increased resistance to conventional austenitic chrome-nickel stainless steel as alloy 304. 

Nickel in alloy provides corrosion resistance, let pure phosphoric acid, with each injection, in a cold solution with up to 10% turn over hot solution.

CuNi 90/10 is more economical and offers good corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity, ideal for standard marine piping and heat exchangers. CuNi 70/30 provides higher strength and better performance in aggressive or high-velocity seawater, commonly used in offshore and desalination systems.
