Detailed Information
Commercial and trade alloys, on the other hand, often require more processing and are created by combining molten metals in a controlled atmosphere. Depending on the characteristics of the components being utilised, the method for merging molten metals or mixing metals with non-metals varies considerably. Because metal elements have such a wide range of heat and gas tolerance, parameters including component metal melting temperatures, impurity levels, mixing environment, and alloying technique are all important considerations for a successful alloy process.

What is the difference between 90/10 and 70/30 copper-nickel?
CuNi 90/10 is more economical and offers good corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity, ideal for standard marine piping and heat exchangers. CuNi 70/30 provides higher strength and better performance in aggressive or high-velocity seawater, commonly used in offshore and desalination systems.
