Duplex and Super Duplex Steel Products Supplier in India
Duplex 2205, Super Duplex 2507 and S32760 products for chloride-bearing, marine, chemical and high-strength service.A buyer selecting duplex and super duplex stainless steel normally starts with the service condition, required product form and governing standard rather than a generic material name. Lakshya Steel supplies duplex and super duplex steel products for industrial, fabrication and project requirements, with the range organised into grade hubs and product pages so that procurement teams can compare the correct specification before requesting a quotation.
The final selection depends on grade, product form, dimensions, condition, testing and end use. Use the grade and product guides below to narrow the requirement, follow the relevant product link for detailed standards and sizes, and submit the complete specification through the request-a-quote page for a project-specific response.

Material and Grade Selection Guide
| Option | Reference / Composition Basis | Choose It When | Selection Caution |
| Duplex 2205 | UNS S31803 / S32205; EN 1.4462 | General chemical, oil and gas, pulp and paper, marine and process equipment | S32205 has tighter composition limits intended to improve consistent corrosion performance. |
| Super Duplex 2507 | UNS S32750; EN 1.4410 | High-chloride seawater, offshore and desalination | Welding heat input and phase balance require qualified procedures. |
| Super Duplex S32760 | UNS S32760; EN 1.4501 | Severe chloride and selected acidic duties | Copper- and tungsten-bearing chemistry is not interchangeable with S32750 without design approval. |
Standards by Product Form
| Product Form | Common Reference | What to State in the Enquiry |
| Plate, sheet and strip | ASTM A240 / ASME SA240; EN 10088-2 | Grade, thickness, finish, heat treatment and dimensions |
| Seamless and welded tube | ASTM A789 / ASME SA789 | OD, wall, length, heat treatment and testing |
| Seamless and welded pipe | ASTM A790 / ASME SA790 | NPS, schedule, ends, heat treatment and testing |
| Bars and shapes | ASTM A276 / A479 | Grade, section, condition and tolerance |
| Forged flanges | ASTM A182 | Grade, type, class, facing and heat treatment |
| Butt-weld fittings | ASTM A815 | Grade, type, schedule and dimensions |
How to Select the Right Product Form
- Use pipe and tube pages when the enquiry is controlled by OD or NPS, wall thickness, schedule, construction method and pressure or heat-transfer service.
- Use plate and sheet pages when thickness, width, length, finish, forming and fabrication are the main buying variables.
- Use bar pages when diameter or section, condition, tolerance, machining and heat treatment control the requirement.
- Use flange and fitting pages when the design is controlled by size, pressure class, facing, schedule, joint type and piping code.
- Use component pages for drawing-based parts with defined tolerances, inspection and end-use information.
Industries We Serve
- Oil and gas: Pipes, flanges, fittings and components for chloride, sour and offshore systems under project-specific requirements.
- Desalination and marine: Super duplex and duplex products for seawater piping, pumps, heat exchangers and high-chloride equipment.
- Chemical processing: Vessels, piping and components selected for acids, chlorides, temperature and crevice conditions.
- Pulp and paper: Process equipment and piping where strength and stress-corrosion resistance are useful.
- Power and fertilizer: Heat exchangers, piping and components selected by process chemistry and pressure code.
Testing and Documentation
Testing and documentation should be agreed before quotation. Depending on the product standard and project, the requirement may include a mill test certificate, heat-number traceability, chemical and mechanical test results, dimensional inspection, positive material identification, non-destructive examination, pressure testing, impact testing, surface or coating records and third-party inspection. Lakshya Steel should publish only the services that are confirmed for the selected product and supply route.

Frequently Asked Questions About Duplex and Super Duplex Steel
1. What is the difference between Duplex 2205 and Super Duplex 2507?
Duplex 2205 provides higher strength and chloride stress-corrosion resistance than common austenitic grades. Super Duplex 2507 contains more chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen and is selected for more severe chloride service. The final choice depends on temperature, acidity, crevices, welding, pressure and the governing standard.
2. What is the difference between UNS S31803 and S32205?
Both are commonly associated with Duplex 2205 and share EN 1.4462. S32205 uses tighter minimum chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen limits intended to provide more consistent corrosion performance. Use the exact UNS designation stated in the design and do not substitute without approval.
3. Which standards cover duplex pipes, plates and flanges?
ASTM A240 covers plate and sheet, A789 covers tube, A790 covers pipe, A276 or A479 covers bars, A182 covers forged flanges and A815 covers butt-weld fittings. Each order should state the UNS grade, dimensions, heat treatment, testing and dimensional standard.
4. Can duplex and super duplex stainless steel be welded?
Yes, but weld procedure, filler metal, heat input, interpass temperature and post-weld cleaning must control the ferrite-austenite balance and avoid detrimental phases. Super duplex grades have a narrower fabrication window, so qualified procedures and experienced fabrication are important.
5. What should be included in a duplex steel enquiry?
Provide the UNS grade, product form, ASTM, ASME or EN standard, dimensions, quantity, heat-treatment condition, testing, corrosion or sour-service requirement, certificate type and destination. For piping add schedule, class, facing or end condition, and include drawings for components.
