420/ 420B / 420C stainless steel plates and sheets are manufactured and supplied by Lakshya International. We also accept custom orders for ASTM A276 SS 420 sheets. Lakshya Internationals supplies SS 420 plates that are quenched and tempered in the tensile range 700 – 850MPa (R condition) in the Brinell 201 – 255 range or in the tensile range 770 – 930MPa (condition S). Made of the highest quality alloys, SS UNS S42000 sheets have higher corrosion resistance and great oxidation resistance. ASTM A276 SS 420 sheets have high carbon steel and a minimum chromium content of 12%. Heat treatment can harden SS 420 plates like other plates. Processes such as annealing and polishing assist the UNS S42000 SS sheets in their ductility and corrosion resistance. The plates are corrosion resistant to atmosphere, food, fresh water, mild alkalis and acids, steam, sterilizing solutions, crude oil, gasoline. These sheets offer the highest hardness among similar grades. SS 420 sheets can be hardened up to 50 RHC. Due to these hardening properties, ASTM A276 SS 420 plates have limited weldability.
