Hexagonal SS 316 is used in chemical equipment; fuel tank; internet transmission and recovery of nuclear fuel used. Alloy 316 hex bars are commonly used to control pollution, oil spills, and gas collection pipes – even as steel pipes – where they withstand pressure or general damage at many reductions or acid oxidizing requirements. The 316 hexagonal chromium bar provides resistance to many heat sources such as nitric acid, nitrates and table salt. Although it does not prevent degradation in magnesium chloride boiling, boiling 316 hex wine has good resistance to chloride neutral media.

SS 316Ti Hex Bars have equivalent corrosion resistance to sensitization as the low carbon version of SS 316L Hex Bars. Comparisons of elevated temperature mechanical strength, mechanical polishing, pitting corrosion resistance, and weldability of Alloy 316Ti Hex Bars are also made. Niobium stabilized fillers (welding consumables) should be used for welding these Grade 316Ti Hex Bars, especially where elevated temperature weld strength may be important. If the anticipated aqueous corrosion is too severe for AISI 321 Hex Bars, it is more common to consider alloys like AISI 316Ti Hex Bars, which are much more readily available. SUS 316Ti Hex Bars are often used for Chemical processing, Springs, Fasteners, Thread inserts, Wire mesh, and more.

The ideal temperature range for hot working is 1149 Degree C – 1260 Degree C, where post – work annealing for 316Ti Stainless SS Hex Bars is recommended to ensure optimum corrosion resistance.
