Both Nickel 200 and Nickel 201 are commercially pure Nickel, meaning nickel is their primary base metal and consists of approximately 99.6% of the total alloy. Chemically, the main difference between Nickel 200 and 201 is that Nickel 201 is a low carbon version with a carbon content of up to 0.02 of the total alloy. Compared to nickel 200, which has a carbon content of approximately 0.15 times the maximum total alloy.

Nickel 201 Bars & Rods is designed for highly corrosive equipment. It is resistant to corrosion from brackish water, saline environment and sediment. The mechanical factor makes it suitable for devices with flowing water. Nickel 201 Bars & Rods is a nickel-based alloy that contains a stable amount of chromium-molybdenum for excellent durability. It is resistant to crevice corrosion, abrasion, erosion, stress and pitting corrosion, and its high tensile strength makes it preferred for use in harsh environments.
