API 5L Seamless Line Pipe is made up of a carbon steel material that is corrosion crack resistant and wear-resistant. The material has carbon, manganese, chromium, nickel and other elements in trace quantities.
The pipes range in diameter from ½ inches to 48 inches. Depending on the application needs, the different diameters of the pipes are used. There are long pipeline applications that transport oil and gas, water and other liquids and gases that use the API 5L Seamless Pipe products. These pipes also come in different lengths namely single random, double random and in cut to length sizes. The wall thicknesses range according to the pressure ratings and the schedules. The schedules in the API 5L Line Pipe products range from 5s to XXS and the pressure ratings vary accordingly.
