Stainless Steel 431 Tubes, also referred to as AISI 431 or DIN EN 1.4057, belong to the category of nickel-containing martensitic stainless steels known for their excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical properties. This grade offers superior performance compared to straight chromium stainless steels, particularly in terms of impact strength and resistance to corrosion. SS 431 is characterized by its high polishability and suitability for applications up to 500 degrees Celsius. It is widely used for producing corrosion-resistant components requiring high tensile strength and good machinability. Its through-hardenability allows it to achieve high levels of hardness (up to Rc44) depending on carbon content and section size.
