Check 316 Stainless Steel Price list and SS 316 Price Per kg in India
316 stainless steel is a type of austenitic stainless steel that is known for its excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride environments. It is the second most widely used grade of stainless steel after 304 and is often referred to as “marine grade” stainless steel due to its suitability for use in saltwater applications.
Lakshya International makes and sends out really good stainless steel 316 sheets, stainless steel 316L plates, and stainless steel 316 coils. These can be really thin, like 0.3mm, or pretty thick, up to 120mm. Lots of different industries use our stuff. We also handle Nickel and copper alloy, Stainless & Duplex Steel, and Carbon & Alloy Steel, which are all used to make our stainless steel sheets, plates, and coils.
What is Stainless Steel 316 Price Per Kg?
In today’s competitive global market, it can be tough to figure out the right price for an SS 316 sheet per kilogram (kg). Usually, the price of Stainless Steel 316 falls somewhere between Rs. 240 to Rs. 280 per kg. But, this can vary a lot depending on where you’re buying from and how much you need. Sometimes, if you buy a lot at once, suppliers will give you a big discount.
So, it’s a good idea to shop around and compare prices from different suppliers before you buy. Also, there are different grades of SS 316 sheets available, each made for specific industries or uses. Choosing the right grade is important because it can affect the price per kg.
What Is The Difference Between 316 And 316l Stainless Steel?
316 and 316L stainless steel sheets are both used a lot for making medical devices, things used in the ocean, and finishes in kitchens. 316 stainless steel has molybdenum as its main ingredient, while 316L has less carbon to stop carbon buildup. 316L is a bit more flexible than 316 and easier to weld, but 316 is stronger when it’s hot or under pressure. Both 316 and 316L stainless steel sheets can resist rust because they have a lot of chromium in them, so they can be used in places where there’s a lot of rust.

Possible alternative grades to 316 stainless steel
Grade
Why it might be chosen instead of 316?
316Ti
Better resistance to temperatures of around 600-900°C is needed.
316N
Higher strength than standard 316.
317L
Higher resistance to chlorides than 316L, but with similar resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
904L
Much higher resistance to chlorides at elevated temperatures, with good formability
2205
Much higher resistance to chlorides at elevated temperatures, and higher strength than 316
